Side by side

How we picked

This guide draws from a pool of 9 gumball and candy machines, all coin bulk machines whose titles name gumballs, candy, capsules, or bouncy balls. The picks are ordered by stated selections, most first, then by the number of payment kinds named (cash first, then none), and finally by the order in the pool. Machines that state no selections come after those that do, following the same payment rule. Each machine is compared on stated details and live prices, with no guessing about missing information.

How to choose

Start with what the machine will sell

Gumball machines in this guide are all in the gumball and candy class, meaning they hold small items like gumballs, candy, capsules, or bouncy balls. The first decision is whether you want a simple gumball dispenser or a machine that can also handle capsules or toys. Some titles mention specific items like bouncy balls or capsules, so check the listing to match what you plan to offer.

Selections: what the number means

Selections tell you how many different products the machine can offer at once. A four-compartment machine can hold four types of candy or gumballs, while a single-compartment machine holds one. If you want variety, look for a machine with a stated selection count. Machines without a stated count may still hold multiple items, but the seller does not specify, so you cannot compare them on this detail.

Cash, card, or neither

Some machines in this list name a coin mechanism, meaning they take cash. None of the picks name card payment, so if you need a machine that takes cards, you will have to look beyond this guide. Think about how the people at your location will pay. A coin slot suits a casual setting, while a machine with no stated payment may be intended for free use or manual collection.

Cabinet or gumball machine

Gumball and candy machines are a different class from full-size vending cabinets. They are smaller, hold bulk items, and usually take coins. If you need a machine that sells snacks or drinks, a gumball machine is not the right choice. This guide covers only the gumball and candy class, so compare these picks with each other on stated details.

What this guide leaves out (and why)

This guide compares machines on stated details and live prices only. It does not cover earnings, energy use, reliability, or placement results, because the catalogue has no data for those. The site does not guess. If a detail like selections or payment is not stated by the seller, the guide says so rather than assuming.

Questions

What is a gumball machine?

A gumball machine is a small bulk vending machine that dispenses gumballs, candy, capsules, or similar small items, usually for a coin. In this guide, all picks are in the gumball and candy class. They differ from full-size vending cabinets that sell snacks or drinks. The machines here are compared on stated details like selections and payment.

Do any of these gumball machines take cards?

No pick in this guide names card payment. The catalogue shows that some machines state a coin mechanism, but none state a card reader, contactless payment, or cashless option. If you need a machine that takes cards, you would need to look outside this list. The guide only reports what each seller states.

How many selections do these machines have?

Three picks state a selection count: two have four compartments and one has three. The other six picks do not state a selection count, so the number of different products they can hold is not known. The guide ranks picks with stated selections first, then those without, so you can see the difference clearly.

Does this guide cover earnings, energy use, or locations?

No. The catalogue has no data on earnings, energy use, or best locations, so this guide does not guess. It compares machines only on stated details such as what they sell, selections, and payment, and on live prices. For energy information on refrigerated beverage machines, you can refer to official sources like ENERGY STAR.

Are these machines refrigerated?

None of the picks in this guide state that they are refrigerated. They are all in the gumball and candy class, which typically holds shelf-stable items. If you need a refrigerated machine for cold drinks or fresh food, this guide is not the right one. The guide only reports what each seller states.
